Neither of the valves going into the washer hookups were turned on - took me a while to find them but once I did I discovered that - and the cold water is working fine everywhere else. If it was a busted pipe I'd have heard something, right? I think it's a valve - a valve conveniently located in a wall! Sounds like you have a valve turne...No cold water? Sounds like you have a valve turned off somewhere.
